More War funding - crank up the printing presses

The Senate approved more war funding for the Iraq war 75-22 today.

An interesting tactic in congressional politics is the attachment of “riders“. Since the president’s veto power is all or nothing, attaching little un-attractive projects (in the eyes of the president) to a bill prevents it from getting approved. What do heating subsidies for the poor have to do with executing a war in Iraq? Nothing. Which is really the amount that we should probably be spending on this endeavor. I can inherently see the power of a line-item veto now.

Where does the government get this extra funding? $100 billion here, $200 billion here, $212 billion here….all told it adds up to this. Wondering why the dollar is so weak? Maybe its because all of the excess cash in circulation.
